Field of Mars

The Field of Mars - the biggest area in Petersburg. The Field of Mars was used as a place for carrying out doctrines of Guards regiments, parades, carnivals and fireworks. In 1917 remains of victims in February revolution here were buried. On the Field of Mars the first in the country lit the Eternal flame in memory of victims of all the soldier and revolutions.
